Regionals in Morden April 1-4
The Regional Tournament with a team from Saskatchewan,
North West Ontario, the Manitoba AAA league & the host
Pembina Valley Hawks will all meet to see which team will
represement this region at the Telus Cup in Levis, Quebec.
The Regional event is from April 1 – 4 in Morden. The host

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
CHICKEN CHEF – OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -
The Manitoba AAA Midget League is pleased to announce that Jake Heisinger of the Winnipeg Wild, is this weeks recipient of the Chicken Chef Offensive Player of the Week in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.
Jake is a second year player with the Wild as well as anassistant captain with the team. This past weekend the Wild had victoriesover the Central Plains Capitals and the Interlake Lightningand the 5′ 9″ 170 lbs centerman led the way for theWild amassing nine (9) points (4 goals and 5 assists)in the two games. Jake was plus +8 and was also inon two of the Wild’s four power play goals during this past weekend’sgames. He currently has a plus/minus rating on the year of +41 and isalso still currently in the hunt for the top spot in the MMHL for regularseason points. Jake is listed with the Winnipeg South Blues ofthe MJHL.
DEKALB – DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Manitoba AAA Midget League is pleased to announce that Tanner Butler, defenseman for the Southwest Cougars, is this weeks recipient of the DEKALB Defensive Player of the Week in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.
Tanner had 3 points over the week helping the Cougars to 2 wins. He set up a goal of Friday night and was plus 2 in a win over Parkland. On Sunday he scored a goal and set up another and was plus 2 in a win over Yellowhead. Tanner is a 16 year old Defenseman from Souris. He is in his second year with the Cougars

Jory Mullin of the Pembina Valley Hawks is this Month’s Western Hockey Leagues Offensive Player of the Month.
It was an extremely productive month for the Hawks Jory Mullin. The Hawks played 12 games, and during that stretch, the 2nd year center from Cartwright recorded a total of 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists), helping the Hawks to 11 wins in those 12 games. Mullin also recorded at least one point in every game that was played, and multiple points in 7. Mullin is listed by the MJHL’s Neepawa Natives.
Super 8 Motel – Defensive Player of the Month
Troy Chandler of the Southwest Cougars is this weeks Super 8 Motel Player of the Month.
Troy earned 4 wins in 4 starts over the month. He also was perfect in 2 games with 2 shut outs. Over the month Troy had a 95.1 save percentage and a 1.75 goals against average. Troy has a season record of 12-7-2. Troy is a grade 12 student as Souris Collegiate
